Why?

Why is it that people are so insistent on clinging to the past?
Why is it that when a woman is cheated on, she remains good friends with the cheater, despite every sign saying she should cut him out of her life?
Why is it that when the same woman is hanging out with the same friend that cheated on her in the past, she treats her current boyfriend like the cheating piece of shit?
Why is it that after she is done hanging out with the ex, she finds any and everything the current bf says to be either trying to start a fight or bashing the ex?

Because people are naive.
Because she is blind.
Because she is in love with the ex, not the bf.
Because she wants to break up with him.

These are just speculative answers, and by no means the truth, just my random thoughts.

Bummed out

so, I'm really bummed out.

for those of you who knew, I've been working on a story for a while, but about a month ago, my computer was in an accident which rendered its power port and usb ports useless. as such, I have not been able to recover my files from it, meaning that all my work on my story is, as of the moment, lost to me.

now, here is the real bummer: I've finally got good inspiration for working on it again, but as my computer is dead, I cant.

*sigh* the only good thing is that I wont be forgetting this inspiration anytime soon

Sign Observations, Truckers, Rules of the road, Managers who suck, the elusive mud shit, and speedy checkouts.

So, yesterday was an interesting day.

it started off fairly normal, except for the fact I woke up about 10 and had to be at work at 2:30, but it was whatev, I spent my morning reading http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com posts. I realized that I needed to get ready to go around 130 or so, and promptly started getting ready.

on my way to work I realized how little people (not as in short people) know about driving. I was cut off by about 20 different motorists in the 5 miles from my apartment to work. and none of them were obeying the simple common rule of the road where you turn on your turn signal to merge.

Just wait, it gets better.

when I got to the area where my work is, a trucker decides that, even though there are cars coming at him from both directions, he can just cut everyone off, simply because he is the biggest thing on the road. thats one thing I hate about truckers, they are all high and mighty and think they rule the road simply because they are so big and powerful. Well, lets see who's laughing when a big gust of wind blows you off the road, jerk.

once I was past the jerk of a trucker, I was going to park, and lo and behold, someone was driving the wrong way down the parking lot. you know how the parking spaces are slanted in a specific direction, and that is the direction you are supposed to go? yeah, this person was going the opposite direction, and then proceeded to honk at ME like I was going the wrong way. and then they couldn't figure out why they couldn't get into their parking spot the first try. I just wish I could tell some people that they need to go back to drivers ed, but this person would probably fail it.

after I got parked, I got out of my car (which is really more of a tank, but I'll talk more about that in a later post) and started walking to the front door. along the way, we have a loading zone, where customers can come to load their vehicles with whatever they purchased. well, I saw a person pull up, park, get out of their car, and go inside to proceed to do their shopping. it was at this point that I wanted to just call a tow truck to haul their vehicle away, but thats not my department, I'm just a janitor.

when I got clocked in, I went to check my schedule, because new ones get posted on Saturdays. I looked at it and saw that my manager (who is a worthless piece anyway, and sued the company thrice to get her position) had changed my schedule without my approval, or even letting me know she was doing it, which is a breach of company policy. I talked to a couple other managers about it and they basically told me I had to deal with it and just do it. Hence why I think all my managers are crap.

Interesting segwey with that last sentence, about the time I was going to take my lunch, I got called to clean up a biohazard spill, which is normally blood or vomit. this time though, it was what appeared to be shit, according to what the people who found it (and were too lazy to clean it up themselves) said. I took one look at it and said that it was mud, since it had little rocks in it and everything. I was told to clean it up like I would if it were shit though, since we weren't 100% sure (I was, but they weren't convinced)so I processed it and then was told to throw it into the trash compactor, which is against policy, but at this point, I didn't care any more. further reason I knew it was mud, not shit, is because when I was cleaning it up, there was no odor, and it was ice cold. It was mud off someones shoe.

the rest of the night passed fairly uneventfully, but when I went to Wal Mart after work to get some Ice cream, I went to a speedy check out, which is normally reserved for 20 items or fewer. well, the lady in front of me had at least 50 items, as it cost her almost $200. 20 items or fewer my ass.

MSP

ok, so reading one of my new blogger finds, I came across a term. It is a most wondrous term. It references a party, where everyone goes to have a good time. It is called a Mandatory Sex Party. Really, the whole reason I'm writing this is because the blogger asked her readers to, in order to raise awareness of said parties. Here is a link to the post

read and enjoy my minions!

Recent Dreams

recently, my dreams have been... disturbing, to say the least. I have been deprived of sleep because of them, and have even woke up on the floor crying on a few occasions. yeah, I'm not afraid to admit it, these dreams, or rather, nightmares, terrify me.

there is one recurring theme: Demons. I don't know why, I don't know how, but there they are. Some of you may not believe in the paranormal, but I do, very strongly. I'm not crazy (at least on this topic) I don't need to go to a psych ward. I am being plagued, to some extent, by demons.

the one that terrifies me the most is me sitting in my apartment, watching TV/playing XBOX, whatever. but then, I see movement out of the corner of my eye, so I get up to investigate, and the closet door is open, so I open it up (its already a walk in closet) and walk into it, only to find a little crawlspace door (kind of like Coraline finds that leads to the Other Mother's realm)

I open that door, and a wave of heat hits me, followed by an intense cold. confused, I follow the crawlspace for a while. its nothing more than a dank dark hewn earth tunnel. when I finally emerge, its into a house. a fairly bare house, but it has the basics that you imagine every house has (couch, tv, chairs, beds, etc) but there is something... off. something I can't quite place.

I explore the house room to room, finding all sorts of things, be them mid-evil torture devices, or dead bodies, dismembered and strewn all over the room, or even happy looking babies that, upon closer inspection, aren't quite babies. they have cat slit eyes, sharp claws and a full mouth of teeth. creeped out, I walk out of the room, only to see motion at the end of the hallway, rounding a corner.

after an hour or so of chasing this mysterious thing, I sit down in a big comfy chair, and turn on a TV to relax for a little bit. a few minutes later, I hear growling, look behind me and see glowing red eyes that disappear as I lay eyes on it. I then get up to go investigate, and when I get to where the eyes were, there is nothing there. I turn around to go sit back down, and standing there is a... something. It looks almost like Batman, but with flesh colored suit, and no seams. and glowing red eyes and razor sharp teeth and long, wicked looking claws. It stares at me, tilting its head for a moment, then turns and disappears. a little creeped out, I walk away, trying to find my way back to my apartment. When I finally find it, there is blood all over the walls. Scared, I find Kelsea, and a few of my friends, laying all over the floor. I fall to my knees, crying (im assuming this is the point I fall out of bed and start crying) and hear a growling noise coming from the hallway. I look up, to see the thing from the house crouched and ready to pounce. I stare it right in the eye and say "Fuck you. Leave me alone, I have nothing you want!" and it just smiles a creepy smile, then pounces at me, and thats where I wake up.
